In this project, I developed a narrative and communicate it through a motion sequence, that is, a 10-second visual motion piece that should respond to, articulate or appropriate an audio clip ‘The isolation solitude confinement happiness freedom domain’, by selecting a single moment from it to develop my design.

My selected single moment is about the writer’s experience and internal feelings of using the isolation tank. Such single moment captures sound of heart beating, icky sound of Toby’s eyeballs rolling around in his eye sockets, and a loud percussive sound.

My design concept not only captures the atmosphere, which evokes the solitary state through sounds generated by human body that leads to sensory deprivation, but also focuses on rhythm of sounds generated by human body once isolated from outside world.
